in a :D way rather than a :) way. something reminded me of the sounds from the other city festival that was in salford earlier this year, and in particular, something which happened after which made me smile a lot.

i was walking past a pizza takeaway near one of the venues (which is usually full of scruffy looking chav types of an evening) but because of the festival it was full of indie looking people. outside, a small group of drunken indie boys were gathered and they were singing green grass of tunnel by múm.

sung in a mancunian accent as the people working in the takeaway stared at them, looking a little bit confused. i think i may have smiled all the way home.
