well first off..

Really I find it bizarre that this album STILL gets people saying its the 'best album ever' - even the people who made it don't think that!

The more you learn about music the more you suddenly discover that this wasn't the first concept album or album with long songs or that the band wrote them themselves and even the production is standard analogue. I'm not going to go "Well if SMiLE was released that would have been better" or "'I hear A New World' was actually the first concept album" (in a really smug cloying voice) but really, this album is not THAT GOOD, musically, sonically or contextually.

And the Joshua Tree at Number 7?
