Shrinking Confectionary

moribund [Edit] [Delete] 12:46, 22 August '06

I bought a pack of eight choc chip Tracker bars to serve as mid morning snacks. They were a permanent lunchbox fixture during my formative years and there was a great feeling of excitement and nostalgia in purchasing them again. So imagine my horror when I find they were absolutely tiny! I remember them being massive, a ginormous beast of a snack bar, and they don't seem small just because I've grown since 1990. They were not merely an afterthought to my peanut butter/ham and pickle sandwiches. They were an all out hunger desroyer reaching parts of the stomach 'Go Aheads' did not even know existed.

Couple this with the packet of Marks and Spencers crisps I recently bought that contained 11 crisps and you will understand why I feel let down, used even, by this country's snack producers.
