The good, the bad and the queen

MirriLondon [Edit] [Delete] 20:15, 15 August '06

hmmm. Not sure about this. I'm still stuck in Gorillaz' Clint Eastwood days.

The Good, The Bad and The Queen is a new project featuring Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon, Tony Allen and Simon Tong.

Their first gig - announced today - will be an appearance at the
Roundhouse in London on 26th October as part of the BBC Electric Proms
season at London's Roundhouse. Tickets for the 26th October gig go onsale at
10am on Wednesday 16th of August, priced £15 and can be found here www.bbc.co.uk/electricproms or www.roundhouse.org.uk (£1 booking fee per ticket), or by phone from the Roundhouse box office on 0870 389 1846 (£2.50 booking fee per ticket)

DAMON ALBARN :
“The Good The Bad and The Queen, it's... it's a story, it's not a band.
I'm very very proud of this record and I think it's worth while putting it out. It's a very English record, it's the first time I've really written about home, since sort of Parklife. I've always wanted to play the Roundhouse. You know, I love the idea that you have to be something that hasn't been heard before.”

Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz) began working with Tony Allen and Simon Tong (The Verve) in 2002. Damon introduced Paul Simonon (The Clash) to Tony and Simon in 2005 and the four began work on The Good, The Bad and The Queen.

The Good, The Bad and The Queen, produced by Danger Mouse, is due out in 2007.
