Music Social More…

Sex and morality.

fionapinkstars [Edit] [Delete] 23:31, 7 August '06

What's the connection? Is there one?
It seems to me there's still a rather large social opinion that says casual sex is a bad thing... Is it all based on traditional christian moralities? or is there actually a feasible way of saying that 'sex is bad' or that having casual sex can make you a 'bad person'?

As far as I'm concerned, sex just isn't a moral act - it's 'goodness' or 'badness' can only be judged in terms of if it's a good or bad thing for the person(s) involved. If you're not in a relationship, and want to have sex, then why should you let the social idea of casual sex being 'bad' stop you?

I am perhaps just waffling, but it increasingly baffles me that you can be judged on adult choices to do something you (probably) enjoy... It'd be interesting to hear other people's views...
