Fruity Loops or Propellorhead?

kovacs [Edit] [Delete] 21:25, 7 August '06

If I wanted to become the next MSTRKRFT but with better hair and more decent tunes on my album than just 3, which software should I get? I've messed about a bit with both Reason and FruityLoops Studio, Reason's scary as all hell but seems to be the best long-term idea, Fruity Loops is more intuitive but has no samples included except one drumkit and a ravey-bass-noise, so a bit limited then...

I've got a £20 Waterstones voucher that's been in my wallet for aeons, and the plan is to buy some kind of Idiots Guide to Whichever Package I Decide To Learn and make some basic techno tracks then get bored after 2 weeks and never ever play with it again.. oh wait, that's the truth, not the plan.

Anyway. Anyone got any opinions or insight?
