What, in a song, is pretty much guaranteed to make you like it? For example, I like prominent backing vocals that are slightly out of tune with the lead vocal (like dEUS do so well), and also orchestration low in the mix, preferably distorted (again, like dEUS do). I think I'd probably automatically like any song that features one or both of those.

You? A certain rhythm? a lyrical theme (one for the goths there)? parping brass?
