Does anybody recognise this lyric:

i have had it stuck in my head for God knows how long and can't remember the song it comes from or even the band that sang it. Just wondering if anyone could give any suggestions, as it would make my day. I am at present attempting unsuccesfully to find it on lyric search engines...
