Music Social More…

Is being more interested in old music than new music somehow 'not' e-fashionable

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 15:11, 6 February '06

I am really concerned as on thursday I got more excited about downloading the Human Leagues pre 'Dare' flop single 'Empire State Human' from 1980 and Psychic TV's 1986 paean to Brian Jones, 'Godstar' than I was about hearing Be Your Own Pet in session. now it got me thinking - does it make you somehow musically retrarded to want to quarry the past for things you'd wish had existed or were aware of when you were young or should you persist and make the effort to like everything new? There are only a handful of bands right now who I can say 'yeah, they're not bad', but am getting increasinly concerned that I'm eather losing interest or the music I hear is just not that good. Oh dear.
