The Cure and The Postal Service

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 18:47, 30 December '05

I got albums by these in Christmas and I want answers, ANSWERS.

The Cure
I got the best of. Its brilliant. You'd imagine the tracks to get worse chronologically, like they do on my Blondie best of, but they don't. I would say 'I like the ??? tracks the best', but I find them all equally good.

What's a good album to go for from here?
Also, why does no-one ever mention Boys Don't Cry? I think its one of their best songs. Is it deemed rubbish or somet?

The Postal Service
What an album it is. District Sleeps Alone has to be one of the best openers I've ever heard, and its all basically three descending chords. Genius. But I noticed a lot of PS fans disliked Plans. Do you not see a lot of similarities? 'Different Names...' sounds a lot like some stuff on Give Up, melodically, just minus the instrumentation.
Is the female singer from Rilo Kiley? Are they worth getting into, or are they a waste of time.
Also DNTEL, are they any cop?

'Cheers, Gaffer!' (in a Frodo voice).
