Bad falsettos

mroc [Edit] [Delete] 02:11, 2 November '15

Please share/give examples of the worst use of a falsetto in music.

This is inspired by the Artic Monkeys thread as they utilised the falsetto to mixed success in AM. Weak falsettos are popping up all over the place now, at least in AM it was mostly utlised as a backing vocal to complement Alex Turners lead. That is unfortunately not the case with Tame Impala's last album which contributed to the album feeling underwhelming and lacking variation. A good falsetto is a beautiful dynamic thing but it is difficult to pull off. But everyone seems to be giving it a go these days, resulting in a large number of limp falsettos coming about.

The two above I mentioned are hardly catastrophically bad, just uneeded and one dimensional. Feel free to give some horridly bad examples. Or mention other acts or bands that seem to be utilising the falsetto badly or pointlessly, to the detriment of the music.
