Don't mean to be a dick but what's the deal with these?

Take the current Mastodon one: 5 photos, 4 almost identical close ups of the "main"-ish guy, and one of the guitarist. What about the other two (sometimes three?) members? Were they not there?
What about the stage set?
What about the venue?
Crowd?
Can the camera guy only fit 5 photos on his memory card?
Do you pay him by the photo?

Just like... why?
