The same rules/format as the previous months. Feel free to mention as many albums as you like but please make your one album of the month clear as it helps with tallying up the scores easier. Also, if you list a bunch of albums without specifying your favourite I'll take the first one mentioned as your album of the month unless otherwise stated. (Sorry to be such a pedant.)

My album of the month (by default) is The New Pornographers - Brill Bruisers

It's the only album I've heard this month. I've heard it probably three times now. It's not a patch on their first three albums which are simply brilliant power pop albums but sounds good nonetheless. I hope to get some good recommendations from this thread.

I'll keep this thread open until Sunday 31st August. As usual forgive any shameless bumps by myself during the week.
