when do you think indie rock or even music that uses instruments will ever become popular again?

like queen, led zep of the 70s, smiths, cure of the 80s, blur, oasis 90s, i guess the 00s would be the strokes, libertines arctic monkeys. who will have a lasting legacy?

i think there are bands out there now who will only be noted for being great and having a great back catalogue long after they`re gone. maybe the horrors, franz ferdinand, deerhunter etc

i can`t wait for pop to die and the charts to actually contain.... music again. i think its due to the x factor/pop idol generation.
