Punk / post-punk / industrial / etc

Thinking of working on 80s oppositional/underground culture for my next thesis. Am familiar with plenty of the most significant bands from the period but would like to think DiS could throw up some excellent obscure choices I don't know about. Suggestions in the Crass/Flux of Pink Indians/Peni/etc anarcho-punk vein would be particularly appreciated.
