YouTube vs Independent Music

sean [Edit] [Delete] 15:32, 17 June '14

So, should music fans consider boycotting Google?

Basically they're not offering indie labels decent money to launch something like Spotify/Deezer/Beats/etc and because the indies won't agree to the rates they're suggesting, all of the tracks by acts on independent labels such as XL (Adele, Radiohead) to Domino (Arctic Monkeys, Franz) and loads more will be pulled from YouTube.

Crazy, right? Should music fans attempt to change Google's mind? Will we see a bunch of musicians going nuts about it when their videos disappear tomorrow? Or will, quite likely, no-one care and a lot of music fans just be really confused when music isn't online anymore?
