I was reading an interview with Falco from Future of the Left where he was talking about having to take menial office jobs between records and tours. There was a documentary about stoner rock where a load of them painted houses in the summer to get by. Now they all may not have had a big radio hit that kept them ticking over, but they do have a fair amount of sales behind them. It got me wondering about royalties, how much you get and what you would have to do to get by on royalty payments? There were some people that also got me wondering, original drummers of bands that made it big like the Nirvana and Oasis chaps. Can they just swan about knowing they have a fat cheque coming in every month?
