Yet another live music venue is coming under threat. A developer has been given permission to turn an old office block opposite The Fleece into flats. These would be about 20m from the stage, and the plans don't have provisions for adequate soundproofing, and even suggest adding balconies onto the street The Fleece is on. Presumably, if people were to move in with the plans as they stand, they'd be complaining about the noise within the week, and The Fleece would be in trouble.
