So what are people making of Fear of Men's 'Loom' (streaming on Pitchfork Advance)?

Violator [Edit] [Delete] 12:07, 18 April '14

I really liked 'Early Fragments' ('Mosaic', 'Your Side', 'Born', 'Green Sea', 'Seer', 'Doldrums' - all great tracks) and I was looking forward to this LP.

I've been playing it for a few days now. Wasn't sure about it to begin with but its growing on me a lot with each listen ('Waterfall', 'Tephra', 'Luna', 'Descent' and 'Inside' are all very good). They've conjured a tangible atmosphere here and I'm starting to think that they're one of the most promising new British bands out there at the moment.

If anything, this band reminds me of early 90s indie more than anything else (The Cranberries, The Sundays, obviously), and they capture the sound of some of that music very well indeed.
