Guitar Amp Thread

TimmyL [Edit] [Delete] 14:35, 17 April '14

I'm sure there's been plenty of these in the past, but could do with a bit of advice.

We've recently swapped our drum machine (laptop with Logic) for a real live human drummer, one that seems to be abnormally loud.

I'm looking for an amp that will keep up with him and stay relatively clean (pristine clean not necessary). Is a 15w valve amp going to cut it or do I need something more powerful? I don't really want to be stuck with an amp I can't turn up past 3, seems like a bit of waste.

The only amps I currently have are a Vox Pathfinder 15 and a Yamaha THR10 -- both completely inappropriate for the job (the Vox can be heard, but is being pushed to its limits).
