Beyoncé

jigglypuff [Edit] [Delete] 12:59, 6 March '14

So I went to see Beyoncé last night, as a casual fan really. I've always had a block around her as I find her vocals can be a bit too noodley and baroque.

I have to say though, she was incredibly. Her singing was faultless, her dancing impeccable and the whole production had a stylish but engaging feel to it that was really really addictive. It also struck me just how odd her music is for a pop star - a lot of it was beyond forward thinking and I was surprised at how much depth there was.

I always saw her as all business and no thought, but actually her brand of feminism and empowerment came across as wholly genuine which surprised me. It's hard to make a venue like the O2 feel intimate, but she definitely pulled it off.

Anyone else go to the show? Did you enjoy it as much as I did?
