Jessika Kenney & Eyvind Kang - The Face of the Earth

ethricdouble [Edit] [Delete] 18:27, 13 November '13

so this duo, who have colaborated with Sunn o))), Wolves in the Throne Room, Kayo Dot, etc. put out a new album, and even having been a big fan of their first album I had no idea it was coming out at all. It's on Editions Mego
They do some kind of a folk/ethno/neo-classical leaning type of thing which is very meditative and beautiful.

The second beautiful album by the duo of Jessika Kenney — a vocalist known for her haunting timbral sense, as well as her profound interpretation of Persian vocal traditions, and Eyvind Kang — a violist for whom the act of music and learning is a spiritual discipline.

""Work of delicate beauty, as pristine as the surface of a lake at dawn on a summer's morning." —TheQuietus
