Just read on the Wikipedias that one of Aereogramme is in CHVRCHES...

Which led me to think that it might be the makings of a decent thread to discuss people who cut their cloth in a either a critically-acclaimed, cult or excellent-but-toilet-circuit band for years before capturing the zeitgeist with a totally different sound.

Granted, CHVRCHES are barely out of nappies in career terms, but the hype machine is in full-swing and they've arguably already attracted more attention than Aereogramme ever did for the best part of a decade.

I can think of Million Dead/Frank Turner as another example for starters, any more for any more?
