Wireless headphones for monitoring in a live setup

ma0sm [Edit] [Delete] 14:54, 16 July '13

When you've got a backing track as part of your live setup and no drums, you're putting a lot of faith in the monitors to help you keep time and know where the hell you are in the song.

Well, sound engineers make mistakes, things go wrong, and sometimes you're left with instinct alone to guide you through.

I've had enough of this though, so am trying to think of ways around it.

One thing I'm thinking is some sort of wireless headphone solution, but not sure if there's anything that can support three headphones simultaneously and with no / very little lag behind the original signal.

Having our own monitor speaker is a bit impractical, but anyone got any other suggestions or ideas as to how we can stop relying on the sound guy?

Almost certain this is gonna be a zero replier, but a little part of me thinks that someone might at least have a pun of sorts up their sleeve.
