In memoriam of underrated local(ish) bands

Following on from the rolling behemoth of the "I Say Reuben" nostalgia rock thread, how about those bands kind of on the tier below, that dutifully pinballed between the headlining the upstairs rooms of student pubs and padding out the bills of all-dayers, passed over by the national press taste makers but lauded (in the right circles) in your town/city?

My favourite Leeds band when I was a student was Red Stars Parade. Always guaranteed a great, energetic show. I'd forgotten how much I loved their album, too, until I dug it out after that epic earlier thread.

I also saw a LOT of Worriedaboutsatan at that time but since then they've released proper albums and become a lot better known. Good band, though.
