I know I've been pretty vocal about how much I've groan to loathe T in the Park over the past few years but seeing this BBC2 show last night (http://www.bbc.co.uk/i/p019dq2s/) got me reminiscing about the fact that some of my favourite ever performances have been seen at T.

Highlights:

Taking my mate Dave to see Interpol, a band he had never heard of and therefore assumed they must be shite. The look on his face when we left the tent, they were incredible.

Pretty much greetin' at Arcade Fire

Watching Bright Eyes play the best part of one of my favourite albums of all time.

First time I saw LCD Soundsystem

PJ Harvey / Rage Against The Machine / Justice / Aphex Twin / Battles / The Hold Steady / Brian Wilson / James Brown / Sigur Ros / Hot Chip

Lowlights:

"Who the fuck are Hope Of The States? I'll not be seeing them!" (idiot) Also, not seeing The National, Fucked Up, Holy Fuck and Vampire Weekend when I had the chance.

Increasing numbers of scum. We promised we'd never go back after there was a stabbing in the campsite in 08.

Being excited for DFA 1979 and them sounding fucking awful.

Seeing a lad piss on his mate who was passed out and covered in sick.
