Andrew WK is going to play the drums for 24 hours straight in an attempt to set a new world record because he's Andrew WK. I'm not sure what the rules are (as in, pauses, timing etc.) but 24 hours seems like an inhuman amount of time to play drums continually to me.

The Flaming Lips broke the record for playing the most multi-city live shows in 24 hours last year, which just sounds too tenuous to be a "proper" one.

Any other interesting ones? Did the Boredoms break any with their big drum sessions? All a bit gimmicky, or a testament to pushing the limits of human nature?
