Back somewhere between the years of 95 & 05 i thouroughly enjoyed a good bit of original style emo - the likes of cap'n'jazz, sunny day real estate, hey mercedes, braid, christie front drive, mineral, burning airlines, various kinsella & chris leo incarnations. For many years i thought the genre dead, and then a few weeks ago I listened to the world is a beautiful place and I'm no longer afraid to die - whenever, If ever - the best emo album i've heard in about 10 years and the memories came flooding back - reminds me most of mineral & american football with a light post rock edge

As I understand it there's been a bit of an emo revival over the last couple of years, I've heard snowing, empire! empire!, Joie de vivre, grown ups. all worth checking out if your an old emo fan. Anything else?
