In light of Modest Mouse being the latest band to cancel their UK tour, let's talk about cancelling tours/shows in general.

Off the top of my head, I can list Haim, Foxygen, Christopher Owens, King Krule and DIIV all cancelling tours this year too for varying reasons, all in the UK, and I believe lots of bands pulled out of Primavera at the last minute too.

Is it a Europe only problem, with American bands not wanting to come over here? Are bands selfish or thoughtless, or are their labels pushing them too hard to tour when they don't want to?
