I don't know if there is a thread started for this album, but I don't see one, and Googling doesn't give me one. So I thought I would start one. Apologies if I just missed it.

Well, I rather like it, a lot. I've listened three times now, which is not quite enough to get a full sense of the album, but to me it feels like it would have been right at home between Boxer and High Violet. It's lush and understated, and there's some really interesting lines in there (I'm currently obsessed with "I have only two emotions: careful fear and dead devotion / I can't get the balance right"), and though it may not be the best National record, it is still a National record, which inexplicably makes it a frontrunner for AOTY for me.

Thoughts? Criticisms? Doubts?
