There's a good thread summarising 2013 about, but I don't think I'm alone in being underwhelmed so far...time for some optimism I think. I'm looking forward to the Sigur Ros & The National records because they're bands I'll always enjoy, even if the albums aren't quite up to previous standards (don't expect that from Kveikur). But for real excitement I'm waiting for Boards of Canada and, perhaps most of all, Julianna Barwick's second album. She has so much potential that if she even realises a fraction of it Nepenthe could be spectacular.
