Yes it's only May - I know!

However, there's been a fair few releases so far and some of those may well include stuff people were highly anticipating.

I'm just interested to hear what people's disappointments have been so far. At the same time, which albums have we given a spin for the hell of it and had lovely surprise?

The only one which I was hoping would be a stand out pop album was Hurts' sophomore. I know they are a subject of disdain and ridicule around these parts but I like the debut quit a bit and was hoping for a step up. Well it was shit and not in the "well the debut was shit so what did you expect?" kind of way.

I can live with that disappointment though.

Still Corner's 'Strange Pleasures' will almost certainly be on my top ten, however. A gorgeous record - I'm giving it more time than Savages at the moment so that's a good sign.
