has anyone else heard this anecdote before, or have I just made it up?

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 23:29, 15 April '13

it's about a jazz band who are touring and get to small town america.

it's cold and snowing and the band's car has broken down so they struggle to the nearest house.

they look through the window and see a family all sat together around a fire and they say, 'how can people live like this'

implying that they'd rather the life of the road/adventure as opposed to the stuffy safety of home, etc etc.

ANYWAY. where the fuck did I hear that? it's driving me mad. please help.
