Music Social More…

So I just received an e-mail about this piece of software... >:(

Stone_Wick [Edit] [Delete] 23:26, 4 April '13

It was called 'Masterwriter' or something (I've already deleted the message) and it cost $200 ($150 on SALE!!) and it's supposed to be a tool for songwriters. They'd got a couple of celebs to tout it, saying things like that it would make you a better songwriter and that it was a tool everybody should have.
This has made me a little bit angry. Not sure why but I have a deep, strong aversion to things like this. For context, I use Sonar for home recording so I'm not against software or anything. But do people actually buy and use stuff like this, though? If so, why? I mean, a main feature of it was the included DICTIONARY.
