Albums where: The second track is a continuation of the first / Track 1 should have been split into two

ma0sm [Edit] [Delete] 13:28, 4 April '13

Trying to decide whether or not to split a track on our album release at the beginning. It was written as one, but has two very distinctive parts which share sonic themes, but one is instrumental whilst the other has vocals.

Trying to think of other bands who've done this to see what my reaction has been when they've done it.

Conversely, albums which start with one long song which could easily have been split into two.

Prelude & Inhaler off the new Foals album Holy Fire are a good example, though I'm drawing a blank on any more.

Anyway, go!
