Ok, so first up on 7th March Small Ideas are bringing 2/3 Italian, 1/3 Mike Watt (Minutemen, fIREHOSE, etc) avant-rock trio Il Sogno del Marinaio to Sheffield's The Harley. Stupidly excited. What am I even gonna say to Mike Watt guys?

AND THEN THE VERY NEXT EVENING (Fri 8th March) a couple of pals and I are putting on the third edition of Bat Makumba, one of the finest little dance parties you'll ever have the chance to shake your frames within.

Crafted with the intention of providing an alternative space for lovely folks to come and dance unashamedly with one another, we think we've found the ideal setting and are ecstatic to be able to host our third edition in the Audacious Art Experiment space. TAAE is a vital hub for Sheffield underground music, one which embodies the passion for independent sounds that we dig. Hopefully we can consider this our home for a while.

There'll be a £3 suggested donation on the door to cover costs. It'll be BYOB, but we'll also provide some sort of complimentary unnaturally coloured glitter punch for your merry appreciation.

We'll sort out some visuals, lights (lasers AND star masters!) all in aid of having a right nice knees up. The Audacious Art space is pretty 'cosy', so you might need to get down promptly to ensure that you get in. 10pm til who knows
