I love the *instrument/sound* on *song*

incandenza_ [Edit] [Delete] 23:24, 20 June '12

I was going to make a guitar soundz thread, but nah.

I love:

the gritty, trebly distorted guitar at the end of 'Don Aman'. the reverb makes it sound like someone going mad in a bedsit in a black and white art film or something. except guitar.

the overdriven guitar in the wordless choruses of 'Sometimes I Feel Like...' by Six. By Seven. or maybe I just like the way the fuzz bass drops out and the drums get all cavernous and smashy.

the extra-snarey snare in 'The Drowning Man' by The Cure, combined the occasional bit of shaker in the background. desolate, like wind through trees on a quiet night.

the synths on 'Radiance' by Surgeon. I love the way the pretty synth ascends upwards melodically like skyscraper windows reflecting post-sunset sky over the tyre-track noise synth.

the echolating arpeggiated synth in 'Leave Things' by Shed. like incandescent streelights coruscating in perfect synchronicity.
