I have been trying to write about music I like for the last while, the writing isn't great but I like the practice. I am now more or less just doing it for myself.

If you didn't start couple years ago your opinions get lost in a stream of similar posts especially when it comes to writing about popular bands.

Is it better then to write locally?
Also the process of trying to discover new music that you like is a long process, would it be better just to write about music I am listening to from the past or does that not apply to the blogging world?
