[LDN] Soundcrash All Dayer w/Trojan Sound System, DJ Vadim, Anchorsong & More!

xenmate [Edit] [Delete] 15:07, 24 May '12

Soundcrash brings 12 hours of the best music around, with live painting and a Jamaican BBQ to East London’s most exciting new space for a day of live music, party vibes and general mischief. It’s time to celebrate.

Greet the summer with Soundcrash as the London promoters host an all-dayer at Oval Space, Hackney – one of London’s best, new warehouse spaces! A constellation of talent both established and newly-emerging will collect under one roof from noon to midnight on Sunday June 3rd. Trojan Sound System will helm the festivities – their endless good vibrations are sure to get that sunshine feeling on. DJ Vadim will bring two decades worth of hip hop, soul, and bass to play in a set that’s certain to get everyone dancing. Performing his warm, spectacular live electronica will be Tokyo’s finest, Anchorsong! Earlier on in the day, Bonobo and Submotion Orchestra’s Ruby Wood will play an acoustic set comprising of stripped down treatments of familiar songs as well as her own beautiful compositions.

To make sure the atmosphere is worthy of the best festivals, kick the day off with a Jamaican BBQ on the venue rooftop to the tunes of some of London’s best up-and-coming live bands: Mt Wolf combine the best elements of deep bass grooves, melodic strings and soulful vocals into a cinematic fusion of beautiful harmonies while Polaroid 85 specialise in tight orchestral soul of the Zero 7 variant. Talk in Colour, formerly the Shadow Orchestra, draw upon an impossibly broad range of influences to deftly bring their category defying style to the stage. Ruby and the Vines will wield their unique brand of afro-rock, mixing and matching from their jazz, reggae and afro-beat roots for an absolutely incendiary performance. Keymono are an electrifying live act that specialise in that tricky area where live instrumentation, rapping and electronic production converge.
