I once read them described as the meeting point between Deerhoof and Belle & Sebastian and that is a great description I think - they mix the inventive arrangements and RAWK energy with classic British indie pop and end up sounding pretty much like no one ever before or since.

Favourite album? The summer OH:IO came out I listened pretty much exclusively to that so I would have to say that. Love the concept + slight silliness it has and all the extra instrumentation like horns, flutes etc work really well IMO.

The record from last year, The Phantom Forest, was/is really under-rated as well IMO. Concept album about people starting a new civillization in the middle of a forest after a bus crash? Yes please!
