The name says it all but here’s some words to give you an idea of what to expect from this very special one off festival, put on by Strummerville, for you! The festival will be held at a beautiful location in the Somerset countryside, close to where Joe spent the last years of his life.

Joe Strummer went to the great campfire in the sky ten years ago and it’s his 60th birthday this year. What he stood for was what made him stand out from your usual rock star.

Joe loved equality, community, global awareness and more importantly people. This festival is being put together to celebrate the life of this man, the legacy he left behind and to remind us all how important it is, in this ever increasing age of commerciality and capitalism, to get on with what you believe in even if it means doing everything yourself.

Many of the great bands playing at the festival, some global superstars, others homegrown rising legends, began in much the same way as Joe did: having a passionate need to communicate to the world through music with nothing but a message and a few chords to get things rolling all with that great DIY ethic that is at the core of this celebration.

It is with this spirit that we are striving to provide YOU with a unique festival experience, all in the name of LOVE and Joe Strummer.
