Favorite David Bowie Albums

Tiresias [Edit] [Delete] 14:52, 13 September '11

Probably been done a million times already, but haven't seen one recently here, and I've been in the mood to appreciate His Royal Highness the Goblin King of late.

Bowie is obviously almost peerless in his contribution to music, countless classic amazing tunes, many great albums and his famous willingness to move on. He's had his dips of course, but his run of albums in the 70s is astonishing especially.

Personally my top Bowie Albums are Station to Station, Scary Monsters and a recent love of Lodger. Growing up my first albums were Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane, both great but of late Ziggy has maybe a bit waned for me, though Aladdin Sane is still pretty ace. Over time I appreciated the Low onwards era more and more really, maybe a fairly standard progression really. I was obsessing over It's no game (part 1) recently, barmey track.

Also fun bit of trivia, Bowie when trying to get off the drugs moved in with Iggy Pop...SMART MOVE THERE. REAL SMART.
