Let England Shake/The Kings of Limbs (Flying the Flag)

JimmyMac06 [Edit] [Delete] 01:34, 16 February '11

I've been blown away by PJ Harveys Let England Shake, with the release of Radioheads The King of Limbs imminent and the recent James Blake LP doing the business as well after a few years emerging myself in all good things American, Deerhunter, Animal Collective, Beach House et al... i've once again come over all patriotic.

Last years Four Tet There Is Love In You and Laura Marling I Speak Because I Can as well as the criminally underated Orphan Boy Passion Pain & Loyalty LP have further strengthed my belief that the UK music scene is alive and kicking!

My only concern is that we may be relying heavily somewhat on established artists such as Radiohead and PJ Harvey to keep flying the flag. And there are parralels with the start of the last decade with strong releases in Kid A, Stories from the City and Four Tets Pause. Can anyone give me any further hope for a revival beyond the above mentioned?

Cheers
