The Kinks always seem to slip under the radar a bit and play second fiddle to the Beatles/Stones/Who in the great British band debate.

Personally I think Ray Davies is/was a genius songwriter but what about their greatest albums? I'd go for -

Something Else by The Kinks (1967)
The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society (1968)
Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) (1969)
Muswell Hillbillies (1971)
