Ray Davies doing 'You Really Got Me' at the moment in his shows

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 23:47, 13 August '10

with endless faceless session guitarists
with a choir
at twice the pace
with his shitty old man voice

Embarrassing.

Isn't it incredible how the British musicians that shaped the way rock n roll developed in the 60s lost absolutely all perspective in their old age?

The Stones doing their souped-up version of Satisfaction and 70-year-old Jagger strutting up and down the stage.

Obviously, there are exceptions.

Paul knows how to adapt his 60s tunes to fit the modern requirements. But even better: he knows how to abandon them completely.
