We have a lot threads about favourite records but not as many with lists of favourite live bands and was wondering whether the bands people love to see live varies greatly from your favourite bands on record?

i know i adore certain acts on record but have no interest in seeing them live, and have seen loadsa bands i love on record be really disappointing live, although mostly that's because when they recreate the music "live" they either need an orchestra or are just fiddling on their laptop or just aren't very interesting to watch for more than a few minutes or have loads of albums of stuff i'm just not that into.

and then there are bands i didn't think that much of until i saw them live and feel like i'm only listening to their records to rekindle the fading embers of the live show.
