The 1990's: Nirvana, Oasis, Radiohead

Who did we have in the 'naughties'? We actually had no pop movement at all really, did we? No world conquering band with number 1s, capturing/leading the zeitgeist. There was never something to be 'a part of' I don't think. the closest thing was Arctic Monkeys by any account, but that was nowhere near for instance what Oasis did to the world

Why didn't we have that in 2000-9 ?
