Music Social More…

Are there musical phrases/descriptive words in reviews that put you off investigating more?

bones_howe [Edit] [Delete] 14:49, 24 July '09

I know there has been a lot of discussion of the death of music criticism/review. Everyone seems to listen first, and not bother with reading up anymore. I find myself ludditical in that i tend to read first.

What I seem to be noticing though is that certain phrases, collections of words, whatever are being used that make me not want to listen further, even if the review is a positive one.

So, if you do still read reviews first, are there phrases/words that curl your toes and plug your ears?
