Help me.

I have a mixer. I have instruments plugged in to various channels. I have FX Send going to pedals. I have pedals going in to loop pedal and then from loop pedal Mix going in to Stereo Aux Return. Output on mixer going in to speakers, and then Main Output from mixer going in to mic socket of laptop.

Laptop's not recording when I press record and put sound through it. I don't know what is wrong. I have sound coming from loop pedal via mixer in to speakers. Same mixer is going in to laptop. But no recordy. Please help me, I don't know what to do and am desperate. Ta!
