Music Social More…

the last 'band' you were 'into' before you renounced indie

jimitheexploder [Edit] [Delete] 01:44, 11 July '09

is the title of a thread I saw someone talking about on twatter/twonker/titter today.

It was a semi jokey thing but the general feeling by the end was that indie has been dragging its feet for ages now and is pretty pointless / in a depressing state. Someone even mentioned they were alergic to guitar music.

My favourite quote was:

'can anyone do a pithy summary of why virtually all guitar music is now pointless? some people still need it explaining, shockingly.'

It made me want to waid in and show them that its not all dead and devoid of inspiring, enjoyable music. But after thinking about it for a while I couldn't realy come up with a convincing argument.

So over to you DiS, who is pushing indie forward?
